please, dont be jerks, ask an "american football" player that play for 90 plus minutes without a time out, or wait until your defense or offense are done, come on dont tried this b.s. of the "american football is harder. they dont have the stamina or the abilities of a FUTBOL player , and dont mention the guts of playing in some places like England, Brasil ,Germany.
16 games a season, 48 total minutes a game and u say that FUTBOL players are soft?
Sometimes you get to rest during the game.
Reply:Soccer is soccer, and football is football. Soccer players definately have an endurance advantage, but Ik'd like to see a soccer player keep up with devin hester in a 100 yard dash..............bye bye!
Reply:No question soccer players have to be in great shape. But how would someone like Ronaldinho or David Beckham handle someone trying to decapitate them 20 times or so per game the way LaDainian Tomlinson has to deal with it. When there is contact in soccer it's not as jarring as Ray Lewis or Shawne Merriman hitting you with all sorts of bad intentions.
Reply:when did you hear this? I think american football players are tougher, and stronger, but soccer players have some serious endurance to play those long games without breaks or timeout.
Reply:Okay suit up a soccer player and have him catch a pass with 250 lbs linebacker coming at him. He'll piss himself right before being blown up. Soccer is a non-contact sport by any comparison to the real football. Come on stamina yeah they play for longer, but physically american Football is the tougher sport by far.
Reply:Ya you are completely right. I mean running around and falling down the second you get touched is soo hard. Only a true softy can play american football where little ******* like jason taylor and brian urlacher run at you full speed and try to kill you I agree Futbal takes more stamina but football is the third roughest sport(water polo, rugby).
Reply:I'll agree ok. Soccer is a game of endurance. Running endurance not total physical finess and power.
It's 2 totally different games!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go somewhere else to shove soccer down someone else's throats. We already know what the game is and many people have played it here.
Reply:listen you bitter moron, we don't come into your section and complain about your beloved sport! why don't you just go back to the futbol section so peace can be restored
Reply:who cares. Football is football and futbol is futbol. Does it matter what soccer players or football players think of each other. Screw You.
Reply:Last time I checked, 15 minutes times 4 quarters was 60 minutes, but I'm certainly no math person. You know, If soccer was played with full contact, I might actually agree with you. Or perhaps you mean flag football?
I'd like to see your futbol players in a game in an atmosphere like an ohio state, michigan game or an iron bowl. How about visiting the Hokies during a year that doesn't follow a national tragedy? How about a Bears Packers game? I don't have all the facts here, but do former soccer player suffer near as many serious health issues, mentally and physically, from their soccer days?
Have you ever seen wrestling? Have you seen gymnastics? Those are sports, not games. You don't play wrestling, you don't play gymnasitcs. You play soccer/futbol/whatever. I would put "toughness" for those sports way ahead of soccer. How about hockey?
Think before you post something like this.
Reply:I disagree, because in american football you have to lift weights and strengthen evry part of your body for stamina and soccer (or futball) just focuses on your legs (I play soccer so I know.) And I play football and when you run you have all that padding on which adds about 8-15lbs depending what size pads you have. Football wins over Futball in Stamina and Skills
Skills: futball is most focused on foot work. some on blocking and throwing.
but for Football it takes the ability to juke, spin, block, jump, break tackles, live the beatings (soccer you rarely have to take beatings), able to tackle, able to kick a FG, punt, catching, carrying, speed, and throwing.
Reply:dammit man i feel like I'm on nascar's Q-n-A. when F1 fan's try to aggravate us.TWO VERY DIFFERENT SPORTS MAN.i played soccer and loved it.couldn't play football though.you answered your own ? speaking of stamina is to apples and oranges.speed and agility is to soccer as brute force and strength is to football.just curious do you even know any peeps from those teams you mentioned.
Reply:this is actually true, i agree with you 100 %. Futbol players play 90 minute straight with only a half time. No time outs and they also have additional times for the delay of injuries and outs. So FUTBOL is the sh*t not "American football where all they do is throw catch and run like they are running away from a cop.

Korean Ginseng is great for my low blood pressure and stamina, but I get itchy skin, and since i scratch em so much it then turns to rash. So what herb can i take with the ginseng that helps with this problem and still allows for ginseng to do it's work.

Reply:Don't take Ginseng. You are thinking like an aleopathic physician, just treating the symptoms. If you have an allergic reaction to an herb, stop at once.
Hypotension can be caused by several things. You need to look into the root cause. Some possibilities are: adrenal gland failure; tuberculosis; myocardial infarction; anemia; infection; et.al.
Meanwhile, some alternatives to Ginseng are: Cayenne pepper, Kola nut, Nettles, Rosemary.
Diet: eat potassium rich foods, citrus, bananas, potatoes, nuts, oatmeal. Use cayenne pepper at the table. Season food with ginger root. Tonic Tea: mix equal parts Betony, Rosemary, Alfalfa, Peppermint; put 1-2 teaspoons to each cup boiling water; infuse 15 minutes; drink 1 cup 2-3 times daily. Avoid eggs.
Supplements: Kelp, Garlic, Multivitamin, Zinc; Brewer's Yeast.
Use oil of Camphor (circulatory stimulant) as an inhalant.
Reply:May be you are allergic to Ginseng. For low blood pressure or hypotension, you need to have more salt intake.
Some homeopathic remedies:
Use 6X - 30C of the following remedies:
Crataegus
Oleander
Laurocrasis
Eat smaller, more frequent meals. If you typically experience hypotension after meals, try eating smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day. Also, find out how much salt and fluid intake your doctor recommends. Restricting them may contribute to hypotension.
Sleep on a slant. The way you sleep may also be important in helping control hypotension. Try sleeping with the head end of your bed elevated 8 to 12 inches above the foot end (use concrete building blocks). On rising, sit up slowly and dangle your feet over the edge of the bed for a few moments before standing.
Home Remedies for Low Blood Pressure
Soak 32 small raisins in a ceramic bowl full of water over night. Chew them one by one first thing in the morning. Chew well and drink the water also.
Soak 7 almonds in water over night. Peel them and grind to a smooth paste. Add in a glass of milk and boil. Drink warm.
Crush 10-15 holy basil leaves (tulsi) and strain through a clean muslin cloth. Mix with 1 tsp honey. Have it the first thing in the morning.
Roast and grind heeng (asafoetida) and take with some water.
Drink a cup of beet juice twice daily for a week or more.
Soak 3/4 cup liquorice root in 4 cups water. After two hours boil and steep for five minutes. Add this to bathwater.
Combine a teaspoon of honey with the juice from 10 or 15 tulsi (holy basil) leaves and drink.
Reply:Any medication or alternative remedy that causes skin irritation should be discontinued!
Reply:Ginseng is a popular herb in Traditional Chinese Medicine, of which I am a student. I've only begun studying herbs, but in TCM it is very rare to take a single herb--most remedies are formulations containing multiple herbs in particular combinations.
If the Ginseng is causing an itchy rash, you are taking too much or are allergic, or the herb and your lifestyle/constitution are incompatible. I would advise you to consult someone with TCM herbal training to smooth out the formula for you.
Reply:licorice tea lowers blood pressure also
i would recomend you stop taking that ginseng as your allergic to it and the rash and allergy is only going to keep getting worse
Reply:I have been taking magnesium caps for a few years now and love them. They are similar to ginseng in that they can help increase brain function, it also is very good for your body in many other ways as well. Read below:
"Magnesium is an essential nutrient, meaning that your body needs it for healthy functioning. It is found in significant quantities throughout the body and used for numerous purposes, including muscle relaxation, blood clotting, and the manufacture of ATP (adenosine triphosphate, the body's main energy molecule). How can I decrease my body's recovery time?
What can I do to decrease my body's recovery time when working out?
Specifically, I am training to build strength, muscle endurance, but overall..stamina. I am doing cardio about everyday (swimming 1 than running another) with weight training and calisthenics. I notice alot of wear and tear on my ankle area and I fear a stress fracture. What can I do to decrease my recovery time? Thanks!
How can I decrease my body's recovery time?
Try something for circulation like L-Arginine. It's natural and a lot of athletes and body builders use it because it helps your circulation naturally.
Aside from that, just a general cool down every time. Also, it's best to space out the more intense weight lifting days to 3 times a week so you can give your body a chance to heal and build the muscle.
Reply:Protein, especially from whey protein shakes.
Pre workout 1 protein shake.
Post workout 1 protein shake + carbs (I am for 40grams of protein and 60 grams of carbs)
For wear and tear, I would suggest taking Cissus. It seems to me that is more of cartilage/joints problem. Cissus also help promotes free testosterone, which is an added plus.
For protein, take a look into Optimum Nutrition or use http://www.trueprotein.com/ and use the discount code HNC112 for 5-10% off.
Reply:Make sure you alternate your running days. Tibia Stress Fractures are not fun, believe me! I know! So give yourself a day or two off of running a week. However, do swimming on those days off. If that is not enough, then substitute biking or spin class for a run day. This should help lessen the stress on your ankle. It will also help prevent tibia fractures and knee injury. Now with that said. You can recover quicker if you eat within 30 minutes after your workout. Eat a high carb with protein. For example I will eat a veggie sandwich on whole grain bread with a high protein smoothie. You could also have a pasta dish with lean meat or tofu in it. I also like tofu stir fry with whole grain rice as a post work out meal. The carbs and protein consumed this quickly after workout lets your body take in more of the essentials these foods give it to recover.
Reply:hmm. I don't know much about that kind of stuff, but I've heard of people taking kava kava capsules.
It might be something to look into, perhaps.
Reply:as for muscle recovery, i found that i recover better when i am eating enough food everyday, when i fail in my diet and do not eat enough carbs and protein, my body takes longer to recover and i have less energy during my workouts.. you mention wear on your ankles, this is probably caused by the running. its alot of high impact. i would recommend better running shoes, running on a softer surface, avoid roads and concrete.. i like to run at the local park which has crushed gravel trails. i find it doesnt beat up on my shins as bad.. if this doesnt help, you may have to limit the running and opt for something different such as biking or eliptical machines. these are less stressful on your joints and bones.
Reply:You will have to cut down on your workout to do that. Your body needs down time; usually 48 hours to repair itself, so unless you limit your workout it becomes an impossible situation.

I would like to start training for a marathon.?
What is a good way to start? What kind of foods should I eat? I currently run about two miles a day. But would like to know what I can do to build stamina and strength to sustain myself in a marathon.
I would like to start training for a marathon.?
You're on the right road. For a marathon, you'll want to work up to 10 or 12 miles per training session. (Three or four training sessions a week. Three or four miles on the non-training days.) You're already running 2 miles a day. Tomorrow do 2 1/2 miles. Next week do 3 miles a day. Once you've done 4 miles a day for a week or so, start alternating between training days and non-training days. Your training days are your high mileage days. Your non-training days are your recovery days where you just jog for 3 or 4 miles to keep your lungs moving. On your training days you alternate between 1 continuous stretch of all the miles at once and breaking it down to two mile runs at a fast pace with 10 minute breaks in between. It is VERY important to stretch your muscles before you begin!
Reply:Run more, it's that easy...
Reply:Wow, my friend has the same goal. Try to find a trainer or an exercise-program if availabe. Eat protein and carbs and drink a lot, I think. Good luck.

My wife has an implant to help with her RSD. Does anyone else want to share experiances?
My wife of 4 years has an implant to help with her RSD. Her pain is now all but gone!!! We are so happy. She spent almost 3 years in a wheelchair, and is now doing thereapy twice a week. She can walk, but has a low stamina... for now. Does anyone else want to share their experiances? Any one else have RSD?
My wife has an implant to help with her RSD. Does anyone else want to share experiances?
That is excellent that her pain is gone! I'm assuming that she had a spinal cord stimulator implant? I have had RSD/CRPS for a little over two years now. I got it from a knee surgery that I had when I was 13. I've also had a spinal cord stimulator along with many other treatments, all have had a short term pain relief. My spinal cord stimulator gave me 9 months of relief (after 4 surgeries for it), but my scar tissue (I have keloid scarring condition) has finally taken over the leads again and blocked the stimulation. I'm hoping to get into a low does ketamine treatment program in Arkansas soon with hope for possible pain relief. I hope that your wife continues to have relief!

Can the outcomes and effects of long term masturbation be reversed?
I know of someone who started masturbating during adolescence, enjoyed it to much, took over his life, and continued to masturbate into young adulthood without having much experience having sex with another person. Now, he is 22 years of age and remarks he practically has no sexual stamina and a low sexual drive (libido). He also states he has this weird feeling in his groin. He can still masturbate--although he has stopped--he gets a weak erection, ejaculates small amounts of semen, and have an extremely weak orgasm. He has seen a urologist and the viagra prescribed to him does not work at all. He has not told the urologist about his past chronic masturbation behavior and believes he has sexual dysfunction due to stress. He does comment that he gets stressed easily and now that he has problems with his genitals due to his history of chronic masturbation, he is even more stressed. Also, he states that when he masturbated, he was taking a drug known as ephedrine, a stimulant.
Can the outcomes and effects of long term masturbation be reversed?
The masturbation is not the cause of these symptoms. Really compulsive masturbating like that is usually caused by a very unstable, chaotic home life. Masturbation becomes a futile way of regulating all the terrible feelings he has. Stimulants just make it 5 times worse. It would probably be in his best interest to see a psychologist, maybe one who specializes in sexual dysfunction.
Reply:Check the website, www.actionlove.com. Email Dr. Lin your symptoms. He specializes in this area and I think he will really be able to help you. Hopefully you will read my comment and best of luck to you! Report It
Reply:Wow, this guy sounds like me. Except I never took ephedrine to help the process, and I don't have a problem today. I'm now in my late twenties. I get it up quite easily and still have a great orgasm. Heck two weekends ago my girlfriend and I had sex five times in the course of twenty-four hours.
