Best way to gain stamina and endurance ?

Im starting boxing in august. amateur boxing. but i realy need to boost my stamina/endurance.

ive heard that i should run long trips. but the thing is. that my endurance is so bad that i can hardly run for 5 minutes without getting exhausted.

i realy need to train up my endurance. so tips about how i should start out to getting better and better endurance is needed. but keep in mind. i cant do more then 10 min at the moment :/

Best way to gain stamina and endurance ?
You need to begin running at a pace that feels comfortable to you and when you get tired walk for awhile to get your breath and begin running again. Try 2mile run and walk then work up to 4 or 5 miles when you feel comfortable. Jump roping also build up stamina and endurance. Also try polytechnics and calisthenics.

Reply:Run at a comfortable pace then if you can only run 5 minutes. If its that bad, run for a bit, then walk, then run, then walk for a few miles a day.
Reply:Dont pace your self, boxing is intense, dont do long runs, amature rounds last 2 min, run 800m repeats with that min. rest. Do 4-6 800m hard.



No body is going to pace themselves coming at you.



And work on plyometrics ( for explosive power).
