How can i increase my stamina when running?

i get cramps really easily and i think i have asthma, i run in sports practices but my times for running never get better. what can i do to increase my stamina so i will get a better time and be less tired?

How can i increase my stamina when running?
cramping is most likely a sign of dehydration. make sure you are drinking alot of water during the say (but not alot just before you run). while running make sure you are taking deep breaths through your nose and with a quick, slight force exhale through your mouth. this will also usually relieve cramping. for severe cramping, stop running and place your hands on your head and take deep breaths.

fo increasing your stamina, take it slow. i would jog a certain distance or time (something you can do not too easily but still a meetable goal) and add to it little by little each day. push yourself and just do it consistently.

consistence and perserverence will be your best friend.
Reply:The asthma can compound the problem, but if it were serious, you'd KNOW that you had it. Do you eat/drink shortly before running? That'll cause worse cramping than you'd normally find. Otherwise, the secret is to 'suck it up and drive on' as they say in the Army. One of my drill sgts was less kind about how he said it, but the gist was "run through the pain" The cramps can and DO go away.
