Tar. It's a lot like the tar they spread on roads. Once it starts gunking things up your lungs are less efficient in oxygen transfer which will effect your stamina and endurance.
Reply:Tar clogs. There is nicotine in cigarettes, but most commercial name brands put in other chemicals and reconstituted tobacco, (that are available in my neighborhood). Some of the additives add "flavor" ,and ammonia; for a mix. The experience of smoking regular cigarettes is like "free basing" nicotine; apparently adding to addition.



Smokers lungs are not pink and healthy, they are tar brown. Smoking stresses the lungs when capacity is reduced, putting stress on brain and heart as well as all other organs.
