How to increase stamina during soccer matches?
Look up articles on HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)training. This type of training is excellent for cardio training, burns fat and spares muscle, other types of cardio can burn muscle. I do these for 35-45 minutes 3 times a week on the ellipticals and the recumbent bike.
Make your "steady state" a percieved effort of 7.5 or 8 out of 10 (like a jog) and your high intensity intervals a 9 or 9.5 (like a sprint). Here are some links:
