In harvest moon more friends of mineral town; what does the negative ion bar the doc gives you do?

The Doctor gives you a negative ion bar that is supposed to help you relax. How does it help you relax? Does it increase your stamina by having it or walking around with it? It is just sitting in my back pack and I have no idea what to do with it or if it even helps with anything in the game. Please help! Oh and if it doesn't help with anything how can I get rid of it?

the best way to "get rid of it" is to put it on your shelves. if you don't have any then you can buy them from the tv shopping network (left channel) on saturdays. there's no telling when it will come up though. if you already have them, that's good because when you trigger the other blue heart events of the other guys, they'll give you stuff too and the stuff doesn't do ANYTHING for you but take up space. its just an entertaining event. but yeah. keep it on your shelves so you have room in your rucksack. and if you don't have a basket, you should buy one, then it really doesn't matter if stuff takes up space in your rucksack because you the basket holds 30 sell-able items. i use my rucksack to hold gifts for people and put my sell-able stuff in the basket. its more convenient.
