Are there any possible ways to immensly increase my stamina in just 2 days?

Anyone knows any drinks that can help with stamina just before the run? Any methods? I have a 5 mile compulsary run in 2 days and I'm dying in the first mile already. HELP ANYONE?!?!?!

Are there any possible ways to immensly increase my stamina in just 2 days?
No. There is nothing you can do to immensely increase your stamina in 2 days. No amount of XYZ (put any brand you want here) sports drink or energy bars or energy gels is going to make you any fitter or faster. With so little time you can not even train to improve. The best thing now is to rest and relax. The most optimal way to run the 5 miles is at an even pace. Make sure you do not start out too fast.

By the way, you do not need to carbo load or over hydrate. 5 miles is not long enough for any of these things to make a difference. Carbo loading only helps if the run is going to last more than 90 minutes.
Reply:i'mwondering the same thing
Reply:Run slower.

If you just have to complete the distance and don't have to finish under a certain time, you can extend the time before you start going into oxygen debt.

Breathe deeply.

Get more oxygen into your lungs so your leg muscles can use it.
Reply:Drink lots of water the day before. Keep drinking until your urine runs clear. Also, eat a good carb-filled dinner the night before.

On the morning before your run, take aspirin to thin your blood...this will help it to deliver oxygen more efficiently. Also, eat a banana for a quick energy store.

I tried this before a PFT (physical fitness test) when I was in the Army, and I managed to get one of my best personal run times.
Reply:Drink lots of Gatorade it helps but there isn't really anything you can do in 2 day but be more prepared next time
Reply:No.
Reply:your only hope is hydrate starting now......then carb load with lots of pasta.....carb load again about three hours before the run, sport drink during run if possible.......train next time my friend, like a year ahead.
