How do I improve my stamina ?

I have been noticing for the past 3 years that my stamina is going down slowly. 3 years back, I used to have 72 sit-ups a day. It has been coming down slowly. Now I cannot even make more than 24 situps a day. If I increase even one sit-up, I get so tired at the end of the day. I am little less than 40 years old. What could be possible reasons and how do I overcome them ? Recent tests showed by Cholestrol level to be 240.

How do I improve my stamina ?
Start doing walks.

If you're comfortable walking, start jogging and really getting into it.

If thats a bit of a problem, try an exercise bike to start off with. I wouldn't really consider sit ups a very stamina-enhancing exercise, but if you just meant that its getting lower and lower, than forget that.

Cardio is great for the body. So get your leash and your dog, and start doing some walks to get that heart beat beating.
Reply:Start exercising regularly. I would suggest that you start briskwalking 3 to 5 times a week, 45 minutes to an hour each session. Moderate your eating habits. After a month or two, your bodyfat should drop alittle and your stamina will improve too. By then you might want to add slow jogging to your workout.
