I need a lot of Energy before I play drums - what's the best thing to drink/eat and how long before?

I play drums really hard - I whale my drums ; I idolize Travis Barker so I picked it up from him , but I donno what he does to have that much energy - maybe E or Coke lol

I don get tired , my arms just feel tense after a long time of playing ? and it's either my Stamina or something else ?

But anyways I wana be even more energized, so What if I drink a redbull 15 minutes before I play a show or what do u think ?

Definately XS Energy Drink. It contains no sugar and no carbs and there are even some caffeine-free flavors available. The energy comes from B vitamins, herbs and amino acids.

Unlike other popular energy drinks, the flavor is really good and it comes in more than one flavor. I drink it when coffee isn't working for me.

If you'd like to try it, you can order it online at www.jewel.mychoices.biz
Reply:Thank u - im gona try and find XS energy drink here in Canada - especially that im on a diet - sugar free would be awsum !

thanks again Report It
Reply:Apple with peanut butter on it. Drink Green tea with extra honey. Take some Ginseng.

It works...
Reply:Try eating something that has a high protein content. This will give your body the fuel to stay on point.
Reply:The tense feeling might be muscle exhaustion from lack of minerals. Try eating a banana half an hour to an hour before to get some potassium - prevents muscle cramps. And if you're going to have a red bull, drink it just before you go on. That way it will kick in and give you energy after you've already used some or most of your own, if that makes sense.
Reply:dont drink energy drinks, they give you alot of energy for like 10 minutes (3 songs) and then all your energy is lost.. u cant play any of your songs after them three.. PLUS u need energy for the after party :). I would suggest eating live food (Ex:Grapes, bananas, chicken etc..) insted of manufactured food (Ex: doritos, mac %26amp; cheese, etc...) But you should probally eat that food the night before a show and the day during a show.
Reply:maybe pure sugar and candy and red bull or may be something fattening and VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY sugary or maybe fruit or water or granola bars
