I run and run to increase my stamina, but when i play basketball, i get winded easily?

I can run for 2 miles non-stop, but after going up and down the court a few times i get very winded and dry mouth..how can i help this and what can I do?

you need to run more sprints... take a 2 mile run but sprint for a distance then walk the same distance then sprint, walk etc... you have to get used to short bursts of speed rather than long endurance training.
Reply:run sprints and or lines start a short distance then go back then a lil further then back then further then back the to the first distance then back and so on
Reply:You may have mild asthma.Over exertion can trigger exercise induced asthma.Not to worry very treatable.
Reply:Sound's like you've plateaued time to switch up and increase your cardio
Reply:Do some endurance exercises. Stretch more before you play.
