Does a monocot have both male and female parts?

Such as stamen and ovaries.

Does a monocot have both male and female parts?
Monocot species have plants that have male parts and female parts. In some species, different plants have male and female parts--these are dioecious species. In other species, male and female parts are on the same plant--these are monoecious.
Reply:Monocots have only 1 section to the seeds.

Think of corn, The tassles are the male part and the female part is inside the ear.

So, yes, they have both parts
Reply:Hi Allison,

The second answer down from the top is correct.

Basically, flowers are the reproductive element of a plant.

The monocots have flowers just as dicots do and, just like dicots: some monocot species have both the male and female parts in the same flower; some monocot species have both the male and female parts on the same plant, but in different flowers; and some monocot species have male and female parts on different plants.

I hope this is of some help to you.
