I am not overweight, but I am out of shape - I have no energy and no stamina. I'd like to start doing pilates again a few times a week, and jogging as well.
But how can I motivate myself to do this, especially now that the weather is getting yucky?
How do I motivate myself to exercise?
What really helped me to start exercising was to have a partner!!!:)
Reply:i can be your motivate. i exercise every day.
Reply:The best way is to get a friend or family member to do it with you. They will help you by motivating you and at the same time helping themselves.
Reply:change the definition of excercise start doing whatever u like..
Reply:Get up extra early and eat a small breakfast. Then start to work out alittle everyday to get up your stamina. Once this is accomplished, Your stamina will be up and you will be used to getting up early and it will become second nature.Goodluck! Ohhh' stay strong around the holidays!
Reply:Maybe this is rather unusual but it works for me and few of my friends.
Always wear tight sexy clothes (if you are not too out of shape) so you can clearly see (and feel) all the bulge. That will always get you reminded and give you motivation.
Another way is to have trigger, someone you like at the local gym, or even maybe your boyfriend, that you want to look hot in front of him. I've done it once, I go to a gym twice week to have an exercise with a girl I like. Unfortunately the relationship didn't go any further, and so did my fitness schedule, dam!!!
Good luck
Reply:Well come on over to my place. We will start out easy but fun and our aim will be to ski Shasta and all around Tahoe. Maybe up in Oregon (?) Hood -- Washington?
The special treat you get me free!!!!
I'm 66 - M - 155# - 5'8" - PU + 4x4 - 3br 2bth - 1/2Acr and cut no STDs. :)) waiting!
Reply:just find something you really enjoy. i was in dance classes (tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, etc.) and even tho i dont take class anymore i constantly throw on music and just dance around. also, when i was trying to lose weight for prom, i taped a picture of a supermodel on my fridge door and a HUGE fat girl on the inside...a little juvinile i'll admit but it got the point across!
Reply:I buy clothes that are just a little bit too small. Nice ones that I really want to wear out.
And another thing I do is brush my teeth really well around 8 pm, spending about 10 minutes. After all that work, I won't mess it up by eating. I see that you're not overweight, but eating in the evening sucks the life right out of me.
Another thing that helped me a lot was buying an mp3 player. I find I exercise a lot more since I bought that.
Good luck!!!
Reply:have me to take my shirt off or just go to my 360!!
Reply:Swimming is a great exercise that only takes 20 minutes every other day in a pool to get you going.
I would suggest joining a health spa or a place where you can use the stairmasters or bike, then go for a healthy swim every other day for 20 minutes.
It really works well, you will notice your energy level increase as you begin to do this. It is a simple exercise, doesn't take much to know how to do it and all.
That and changing your diet. Avoid fast foods for a week or two and take notice of how much your energy level will increase too.
Taking a good brisk walk will help too. It is simple and doing it with a friend will make it enjoyable too.
Reply:If you want motivation, take a picture of yourself in a two-piece bathing suit. I know; that won't offer much encouragement at the beginning, but the idea is to take more pictures wearing the same two-piece suit every two weeks or so. That way you can see your progress. The other thing you can do is remind yourself that you are doing this for YOU and this is one way you're telling yourself that YOU are important enough and special enough to be in good shape and looking TOTALLY HOT. Yes, you have to make the commitment to yourself, but first you need that self-affirmation that allows the goddess in you to come out. Good luck!
