How long would it take from starting cycling til you notice a change in your body?

Like stamina and stronger muscles.

I'd be cycling about 45 minutes per day, mostly flat ground.

Unless you know your heart rate - hard to tell.

It's really subjective to train this way.

Are you traning in the Anabolic zone or Aerobic zone?

If you want to get stronger muscles and build stamina you can do that easily.

If you really want to get the most bang for your exercise - get a heart rate monitor and make your exercise match your goals.

Or if you want to train in the Aerobic zone - for building stamina and a better heart - just do this.....

Workout (ride bike or run etc...) at a pace where you can talk but not sing. If you can't talk you are going too hard. If you can sing you are going too slow. Do this for about 30 minutes or more and you will get the max benefit - out of your workouts.

Based on that you would see a real difference in about 2-3 weeks.
Reply:Cycle that route and time as hard and fast as possible.

Commit to increasing the distance traveled every day.

You will see an improvement in strength and in endurance within a week. In a month- big improvements. In several months, it will be like a new life.
Reply:It's hard to say, but I would guess you can see some results in 2-3 weeks.
