What is a good, effective technique to get a six-pack?

I do normal daily weights and sit-ups, just for strength and stamina, but i'm finding definition on my stomach hard to achieve. Does anyone know some effective techniques which doesn't require you to be an athlete? Thanks :)

The only way to get a six pack is to do tons of cardio, eat healthy, drink lots of water, and lower your body fat. Sorry but doing sit ups everyday or all day isn't going to give you those lovely washboard abs!!
Reply:crunches, sit ups, leg lifts, bicycle, just do a lot of them. ?
Reply:You have a six-pack already... an eight-pack, actually. It's just under fat. Making your abs bigger will certainly help a little, but in the end, there's still a sheet of fat over it. The only way to showcase all that hard work is to get down to about 12% bodyfat. That'll show off a decent six. ~8% should show a little of the eight.
Reply:crunches will give you the muscle tone but for a six pack to show you need to have less than 12% body fat, probably nearer 10%
