Stamina and endurance are usually thought to be the same and the way to increase your ability is to do aerobic exercise, such as running, biking, or swimming for periods in excess of 20 minutes.

You can do this several times each week, and as you improve you can increase the distance and number of days.

Your speed is a different energy system and also requires strength.

So 2 to 3 days each week you must do anaerobic exercises such as sprinting and lift weights, along with plyometric exercises.

Reply:Try interval training. Train for a set duration but a different intensity levels. It helps to increase your fitness and lactic acid threshold etc. Drink plenty of water for recovery and also throw in a pool session when u can, even if you are not a strong swimmer, just moving the legs under water will make them feel good.
