I'm trying to get in shape fore baseball, early I know, but its better to start early than late. Anyway, So far my plan has just been eat better, and run everyday.
My real question is, Would it be better to walk 2 miles straight. Or run .5 miles in intervals. I don't have the stamina to run 2 miles yet, that is why I do it in intervals of .5
What is the best meathod to get in shape?
believe it or not, you burn the same amount of calories running as you do walking. so start walking 2 miles then start to run ( maybe 1/4 of the 2 miles) inplace of part you normally walk. then slowly increase the amount of running you do, and decrease the amount of walking, ( out of the 2 miles.) this will slowly increase your time and it will help you get in shape.
also you might want to try bench pressing, doing push ups and sit ups to get some extra upper body strength.
