What is a good baseball workout for a 13 yr old?

Im 13, a contact hitter, and I'm looking for some things I can do to improve the following

Batspeed,

Body Strength, [What lifts are good, what arent]

Stamina, and

Arm Strength..

and I'll take anyother advice you have to offer.

I'd be happy if u could help.

What is a good baseball workout for a 13 yr old?
For arm strength, don't forget long tossing. Get somebody to play catch with you from about 120 feet. Great for building arm strength and durability.



For batspeed, a bat weight helps, but basically, that's just a matter of going to the batting cages and taking your hacks.



As for strength, don't worry too much about weights at your age.



Just do your pushups, crunches and squats, and some running. Start with modest goals, like 20 pushups, 50 crunches and 50 squats twice a day. Build up from that.



Another thing that's frequently overlooked is stretching and flexibility. It'll improve your agility and general athleticism, and protect you from strains, sprains and muscle pulls, as well as more serious injuries.

Reply:im on a high school baeball team :for batspeed just bat weights on ur bat body strentgh do bench for ur arm, squart for ur legs and stamina u could just run a couple miles everyday
