a road like a city street, or a school track?
What makes you get more stamina running in the track or a road.?
Road work is always best because of the uneven terrain and hills. A track can be great for you kness/hips if its cushioned, but a track run usually focuses on a smaller group of muscles and a road run can use many more, exp if there are hills involved. Remember, hills will make you strong
Reply:road running for sure. Although my old h.s. dirt track is full of nice potholes and uneven terrain...so in that case it's a scratch.
Reply:i would say that they both are about the same but the track wont hurt your knees and feet as much as a city street or sidewalk, if you can find uphill land that could help as well.
Reply:running hills makes you stronger, but trail running is best, all sorts of different terrain, rocks, tree stumps, river crossing, hills, very technical running. Trail work makes you concentrate more.
Reply:They get you the same. It depends on how hard you run.
